Shenandoah University's Going Global initiative is a series of building blocks that begin here, with the Going Global First Year Seminar. Here we develop a sense of community among the Class of 2018 for whom 'belonging' begins with the University. The goal is to lift these borders, yet maintain, deepen, and expand the feeling of belonging to the global community where you realize that you can make a difference - and that difference begins with you.
In the fall, all first-time Shenandoah students will register for one of the 24 Going Global offerings. Our faculty offers courses that range in topic from Popular Culture Around the World to Worldviews in Art to Development and Disaster Relief. All classes focus on a global theme, all classes are small in size, and all classes are challenging and highly interactive. I look forward to meeting all of you. Please feel free to call me (540-542-6534), e-mail me ([email protected]), or stop by my office (Gregory 154).
